Tower Road Residence

Beverly Hills, CA

A new art gallery, designed by Johnston Marklee Architects, sits on top of an old tennis court at the bottom of a large Beverly Hills property. A new lithocrete path of stairs and landings gently curves down the hill from the upper garden terrace to the art gallery below. Groups of Pepper Trees frame views from the walk while an enormous Ficus and a heritage Oak provide shade for the garden. A colorful mix of shrubs including lavender, teucrium and rosemary borders the garden path in a carpet of blues and purples. Below the art gallery is a Ginkgo grove with a winding path of steps and long landings connecting to the entry gate at the street.
