Esplanade Corporate Towers

Pamela Burton & Company was asked by a long-term client to design a corporate landscape for a new four-tower office complex in the Pinheiros region of São Paulo, Brazil. The project approach, which highlighted indigenous plant varieties, was an important deviation from typical western landscapes applied to tropical Brazil.

Subtle variations in the paving delineate the vehicular driveways and passenger drop off points. The entire project is constructed over a large subterranean parking garage.

The design features a landscaped central plaza and green areas unified by a meandering grove of native Brazilian Caesalpinia trees. Each corner of the project has a unique landscape character derived from changes in topography, sculptural water elements, and variation in materials.
